Taekwondo is a Korean martial art with an emphasis on kicking. It is fabulous for building self confidence and fitness and is ideal for children and adults of any age and fitness level.

We have classes throughout Manchester, Stockport, Didsbury and Tameside at convenient times in the evening and weekends. Our male and female Instructors are friendly and approachable and are fully insured and CRB police checked. We practice the ITF style of taekwondo and classes cover a variety of disciplines, including self defence, fitness, patterns and sparring with opportunities to compete in tournaments, both in the UK and Internationally.

Kickstart Taekwondo are pleased to announce a new class open in Levenshulme. This is our first female only class and is run by Miss Naomi Pearson III. The class has been designed as a female only class and is ideal for women who are looking to get into a martial art but who may have previously thought of it as a very "macho" sport. The class will always be taught by a female Instructor and is open to women aged 16 and over. We are pleased to announce that we will be taking part in the 1st T-UK Goodwill Scottish Championships. This is going to be held at Grangemouth Sports Complex, just outside Falkirk in Scotland. This is an excellent tournament to compete in with students from a variety of different associations having been invited to take part. It is always extremely well run by Mr Condie and his team and we are proud to have supported past events. Any students wishing to enter need to register their interest with their Instructor ASAP in order for us to arrange transportation and accommodation. Formal tournament registrations will need to be completed by Wednesday 11th May 2011. If you would like any further information about this tournament please feel free to speak to your Instructor.
